The Lymphatic system is referred to as our second circulatory system. It consists of a network of vessels carrying lymph (water, proteins and electrolytes) from the tissue fluids to the bloodstream. It feeds literally every tissue and organ. It is the transportation highway for the immune and repair function of the body. At intervals along the length of these lymphatic vessels are groups of nodes. The node function is to filter lymph through the action of scavenging white blood cells and preventing foreign particles from entering the bloodstream. The structures of this system help provide immunity, which means resistance to infection and disease. We call it "the information highway" of the immune system, creating vitality, beauty and preventing illness. Recognized in Europe as a primary system, it aids in purification, filtration and delivery of oxygen and nutrients to the cells. How well it is filtering and functioning is the integrity of your immune system and the health of the cells.
